Our aim at Birchwood Care Services is simple: to enable our clients to enjoy living as fulfilling, independent lives as possible in their own homes, for as long as possible. Our philosophy is just as simple: we treat our clients how we would like to be treated.

Finding care at home for a loved one who can no longer cope without outside help and support can be stressful to say the least. It does not have to be this way though; here at Birchwood Care we’re aware of the complications that can come with finding care at home for a family member and seek to make the process run as smoothly as possible.

Many of our clients want to live independently in their own home for as long as they can. It is for this reason they choose us as the home care service we provide in and around the Tunbridge Wells, Tonbridge and Sevenoaks areas helps facilitate this.

We have spoken before about top tips for fall proofing your home and this really can have a significant impact as falls will often be a key contributor to needing more round the clock care as they can have serious implications for the elderly depending on the severity.

Here in Britain, we are simply not used to high temperatures we sometimes experience during the summer – and while heatwaves are enjoyable for some, for the elderly they can be especially dangerous – often because we are not prepared.

Birchwood House enjoyed a socially-distanced harvest festival in its grounds on Wednesday 9th September, for all staff and residents. Sealed food was donated to benefit the local community.
