Care Assistant (Afternoon and Teatime shifts)

Family-owned homecare business Birchwood Care Services is seeking carers to work in the Tonbridge area. We offer competitive rates of pay in the local area as well as a sign on bonus.

Birchwood Care Services is part of Birchwood Care Group and works closely with Birchwood House, the care home based in a beautiful manor house in Speldhurst.  

We are looking for friendly, caring staff to work our tea/pm shift. There are a flexible number of working days available from 3 up to 6 days where required. Our team is based in the Tonbridge area but can also accommodate the same shift availability in Tunbridge Wells if that’s more convenient for you. A means of transport and a full driving licence are essential, but rest assured you will receive a generous mileage allowance, in addition to the hourly rate. 

This shift starts at 4 pm and our latest call to a client is at 9 pm. 

Our pm shifts include: 

• Preparing tea/supper and hot drinks for clients 
• Helping clients with getting ready for or into bed 
• Helping clients with personal care if required 
• Helping with medication needs if necessary 
• Ensuring that the client is comfortable and well cared for and that they have everything to hand they need for the evening through until the following morning 

We, of course, value those staff that have previous care experience.
